I’ve often gone hiking and come across some beautiful broken branches. On one river trip down Cataract Canyon (that’s the canyon just before the Grand Canyon and leads into Lake Powell) on the Colorado river I came across the most wonderful gnarled and twisted river branch that had been smoothed from the currents. It couldn’t have been more than two feet long so I packed it into my dry bag and then later shipped it across country to my buddy in New York just because it was so spectacular that she had to see it too. That probably sounds like a silly thing to do, but I guess sometimes I do silly things. I also sent her a cool brick-red colored rock that I found. Yep, you read that correctly. I sent my friend a stick and a stone. :-) But, what I’m getting at here is that nothing is quite as cool as stuff made by Mother Nature. So bringing them into the home can add beautiful, unique and dramatic effects. Just check out some of these super cool decorating with nature ideas. I hope they inspire you to do something wonderfully creative.

I love all the nature being brought into the home! I’d love for you to link up at the Found & Foraged Linky Party held every Saturday night at 8PM CST at http://houseofhipsters.com/
Thank you for the invite Kyla! I’ll be sure to stop by!
This is defiantly inspiring! My husband is constantly bringing pieces of drift wood home after a walk :)
Haha, I love that! My brother saves branches for me when he trims the trees at his home!
Some really unique ideas! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
