This lace pattern is called broomstick lace. It’s actually a crochet technique that got its name because when the 19th century pioneers who used this technique actually used a broomstick in it’s making. These days you can keep your broom stick in the closet and use a small wooden craft dowel or even a knitting needle instead. The bracelet pictured above uses a heavier yarn, but you can use a finer thread yard for a more delicate look or even leather string like this…
